Here We Still Stand: A Reformation Conference has been a team effort between 1517 The Legacy Project and Christ Hold Fast to celebrate the 500th anniversary of Martin Luther nailing his 95 Theses to the Castle Church door in Wittenberg, Germany. This act started the Protestant Reformation and spread the Good News far and wide that God saves sinners by grace alone through faith alone for the sake of Christ alone. This is our legacy as children of the Reformation.
The conference will be held on October 19-21, 2017, in San Diego, California. The speakers will emphasize the Reformers, the texts of Scripture God used to recapture the Gospel, and the ripple effects they had and still have today. Please pray for this event and plan to join us in October to proclaim with us that faith alone is still enough to save… here we STILL stand!
About 1517 The Legacy Project
The Project was founded to be a place for people in search of grace to come, explore, inquire, and experience the freedom that grace affords. After all, the power of the Gospel is rooted in freedom! Not merely freedom from, but freedom to. The cross is a symbol of grace. It’s a treasure of hope in palaces and barrios. It’s a song from bars and cathedrals, adorning crowns and headstones. And this legacy of grace and freedom is beautifully articulated through the ideas and influence of the Lutheran Confessions.
A Message from Dr. Rod Rosenbladt.
A healthy conversation is the exchange of thoughts and ideas; is open and honest; it has a genuine interest in the perspective and knowledge of the other person; and for us it includes taking time to consider the unique ways that faith in Christ offers a response to honest questions. I hope that you will be encouraged by how “our conversations” are moving and growing. My heart has always been sensitive to the needs of people – especially those who feel broken by their previous church experiences. Your prayers, your support, and your encouragement keep me, and all of us going.
About Christ Hold Fast
CHF is a Law & Gospel collective of creative contributors, dedicated to proclaiming to people how Christ remains faithful even when we are faithless (2 Timothy 2:13). We provide a voice for Christians who are both Sinner & Saint (Romans 7:15-25). We promote the bad news that you are a greater sinner than you think (Isaiah 64:6-7) and the good news that Christ is a greater savior than you can imagine (Romans 5:6-11).
- We hold that life is not about what we do for God, but about what God has done for us.
- We hold that “Gospel” is not something you can live, but it is something you can believe.
- We hold that grace is freely offered to all, and we need it just as much as everyone else.
